the Railway Station bookstore, I can recall I used to buy comics and mags from there too. What about the bookshop along Anderson Road, next to the famous coffeeshop, Mun Tin. Thank you also for mentioning the "mahjong club" at Leong Sin Nam Street ... I can't remember the name either but I think the late Dato Yeoh Cheang Lee also played some mahjong there in the 60s and 70s. Best wishes, kayes.
