Dad used to bring us to the book stall at the Railway Station to buy Dandy and Beano comics. Special treats were the annual hard cover versions. By the way, do you remember a Yee Yan(?) Club at Leong Sin Nam Street in the early 70s? Mum used to play mahjong there and when I was in the morning session in primary school, our driver would fetch me from the Convent and bring me to the club to fetch Mum. Sometimes I had lunch there which was usually chicken rice from a restaurant at the same street. And Kayes, thanks for another great pic. Cheers! Ann
