I was in Ipoh for a couple of hours this morning to attend a ceremony honoring our fallen heroes during the two World Wars, the Emergency (1948-1960), the Confrontation (1962-1965) and the Re-Insurgency (1972-1990). The ceremony was held at the Cenotaph in front of the Railway Station. The band from St Michael's Institution and the bagpipers from the Royal Gurkha Regiment Brunei were in attendance.
