with a pic of the old house known as 57 Brewster Road. I am quite sure such a pic exists because that old fire station is a heritage building and most "old pics" of the fire station will show the house next to it. I am also sure that way back during Gerald Madden's time, there was no such thing as a Legal Aid Bureau and so he could not have volunteered his services to this kind of free legal aid clinic. I think he took it upon himself to represent the poor without charging a fee. Commendable deed. Wonder whether some really old Ipoh lawyers would remember him. Was he ever with a law firm either in Ipoh or KL? Best wishes, kayes.
