the information. This is very exciting! I will send the pics to my mother's first cousin in UK. She was just 3 yrs. old when she lived there in the early 1930s before they moved to K.L.
There were at least 14 children living in that house.The children's mother was my maternal grandmother's sister. The man of the house was employed as a rubber planter and was called Gerald Butler Madden. His granddaughter and greatgranddaughter are doing their family history.
It is believed that Gerald studied law back in Ireland and worked in Malaya as a lawyer for the poor??? Is this possible? In the List of Qualified Jurors, Singapore 1904, Gerald Butler Madden is listed as a clerk of Tanjong Pagar Dock Co. Ltd. Cavenagh Rd.
