Hi Kayes, Thanks for photo. The chair in your pic doesn't seem to be spiked. The chair I saw was less ornate, but what caught the eye were scores of upward pointing nails hammered into the arm rests, seat and back rest! And you thought victims of the Iron Maiden had it bad. While we're on the subject of Burt Bacharach, the one record to own by him is the stereo version of the "Casino Royale" soundtrack. Between the late 70s and early 90s, a mint copy of that disc could command fabulous sums on the collector's market. After the LP was reissued in the mid 90s, prices for original copies fell somewhat. Today, a pristine copy of the original stereo "Casino Royale" can still bring in a couple hundred greenbacks. Not bad, eh? Back when I was in Form 1 at SMI, music tastes among the boys were divided quite neatly between fans of Osmonds/David Cassidy/commercial pop and Led Zep/Purple/ELP/Progressive Rock. No prizes for guessing which group I belonged to. p |
