Phoebe, thanks for reminding me about the lower secondary science labs. Yes, I remember hearing spooky tales about them when I was in school. There was even a rumour that the skeleton of a deceased nun was kept in one of the labs!

But it's so strange that I don't recall the baby incident in 1974. The Form 1 student in question would've been my form mate if not my class mate! How on earth did she hide her pregnancy? It would'nt have been easy coming to school in her uniform!

Since we're on the topic of sensational news, anyone out there recall a high profile murder case which happened either late 60s or early 70s? I recall Mum and her friends discussing it because it happened in Chateau Gardens, not far from my house in fact. The case involved a woman who murdered her husband and soon after, there were the usual stories about the house being haunted etc. Needless to say, I always felt a shiver up my spine everytime I passed the house, even in broad daylight!
