Ken, did Kok Kee also have outdoor tables for those who preferred the open air? And was steamboat also one of its specialties? I somewhat recall a restaurant at the location you mentioned here where I enjoyed many a steamboat dinner with my family. Fishballs were and still are my favourite and I remember eating lots of fishballs which tasted better than anywhere else! After so many years, my memory's a bit hazy. I remember restaurants, kopitiams, coffee houses and their locations but not their names. Sometimes I get the locations mixed up... like the egg tarts and egg custard shops noted by Poco. BTW, please refresh my memory about "hor hee". I seem to have forgotten this Ipoh dish. Cheers! Ann
