I'm not sure if that's the same Andrew as I left Ipoh very soon after working at Green Fern. Also, I'm not familiar with Miner's Arms at all. The Andrew who did those nightly gigs was the keyboardist/vocalist whilst his partner, Joey, played the guitar and sang occasionally. Andrew's Chinese, about 5' 8", lanky and had a thinnish face. Joey's also Chinese, about 5' 6", of average built, had a flattish-squarish face, and wore glasses.

One of the more popularly requested songs they used to belt out nightly before closing time was "Take Me Home, Country Roads" but they replaced the words "Country Roads" with "Brewster Road". Another one they enjoyed mangling was "North To Alaska", switching "Alaska" with "Alor Setar". Joey also did a very good rendition of "Wasted Days & Wasted Nights".

And talking about haunted places, Ann could probably regale you with a yarn or two about our beloved Main Convent. :)
