Nope Poco, Apple Jam was very much a disco and not a coffee house. When Anja (his mum was Toh Puan Onn and he also stayed at the Jalan Datoh house) was the DJ, his brother, Ismail Che Wan owned or managed the disco. I don't remember the theme song but I recall that Car Wash by Rose Royce was a big hit. It got requested many times a night. BTW Christina Aguilera recorded Car Wash again (was it last year?) and it became a big hit again. So you see, Apple Jam kakis in the 70s really had great taste in music! And yes, Keropok, it was THE most happening place for music and dancing back then! The Apple Jam logo was also very cool. I wonder who are the present occupants of the lot now?
