I vaguely remember it was. Some kind of tyre shop is there now. You are correct, it had a big compound and you could drive right in and park your car next to the table you fancy. I think it was there till late 70s. Anyone knows the exact year it burnt down? I heard that during the Japanese Occupation it was used as an interrogation centre and I suppose that accounts for those spooky tales. Best wishes, kayes.  |
