I grew up in Kg. Tebing Tinggi (off Jalan Bendahara) and always pass by this hotel on my way to Ipoh town back in the 70s. Its good to know that the hotel is still standing.I believe the building next door used to be the Shen Jai primary /secondary school.
Jalan Bendahara used to be famous for the many metal scrap/junk yards where one can find almost any spare parts especially automotive. These junkyards are now relocated elsewhere and in their place are spanking new shophouses.
There also used to be a grand big house (Malay architecture - looks like a small palace ) a short distance away from the Park Hotel. I wonder if its still there. Regards.
