Worse than biting the dusk was to demolish it and leaving the lot idle (until converted to a car park till today!) I had fond memories of this circular must-see place, the first time in 1970 when my mum and I accompanied my dad on his drive from Penang to KL. I had a school bag bought here. Years later, on tours and on buses passing by Ipoh, a souvenir or pamelo is a must-buy here. The only other place I saw of a similar building is in Alor Setar. I wonder if it's still around?Give me a tinkle next time you are in Ipoh!
