Yes, we had lots of fun up at Pulau Pinang Supermarket above Chowrasta. After it closed down, the used book dealers along Macalister Road were relocated there in the 80s. I still browsed there late into the 90s. Talking of stink bombs, those little vials of ammonia we crush under our feet as we disembark a bus...!!
